Flavor and Vitola

Within each cigar brand, the taste of one vitola can be very different from that of another.  If you enjoy smoking a particular cigar, it might be wise to stay within the same vitola when purchasing additional sticks.  This may seem counter-intuitive as brands use the same tobaccos for all vitolas within a cigar line, but the various size differences can dramatically affect the taste of a blend.  And it’s not just true for vitolas of differing ring sizes.  A 5×50 Robusto can taste very different from a 6×50 Toro.
